Bastardo Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Just to make it short: A 1949 Merc by Revell opened, modified, slammed, hiperventilated and weathered by me I know I have the turbo setup all wrong, but by the time I figured it out t was already too late... So it is what it is... The process of modifying can be seen on this link: http://www.makete.ne...php?f=4&t=20230 It's in Slovene so feel free to ask pretty much anything Here are a few shots of Lucy: Spit it out...

David G. Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I love the Merc. It's excellent overall, but the turbo is the best feature! David G.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Wow, I love the Merc, which looks totally different from any other Merc I've seen before, not to mention the suicide doors are a great detail. And then the TZH build I think is fabulous. Have you posted it over to here? http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52127
Harry P. Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 The turbo plumbing might not make sense, but that's a cool model! Nicely done, and the suicide doors are a nice touch. Very cool!

Appart from that you can see the WIP over here: http://www.makete.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=19744 Harry: Yes, I screwed-up the turbo set-up... Don't ask, I have no idea what I was thinking...
Dr. Cranky Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Wow, what a fabulous thread to that build. Thanks for sharing it with us here. Best, DC
torinobradley Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Looks flippin cool. I love anything with kill marks/stickers... As for the turbo setup, all you have to do is explain the motor is one of the rare reverse-flow-heads exhaust carberation high-effeciency updraft motors...
