mp_101airborne Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 87 grand national and i hav to say once of my favorit kits ive built... minus squeezing that engine, turbo, intercooler into that tight bay.. im big into building muscle and it might be from the 80's but its got some beef
espo Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 You're engine detailing looks great. Like you I enjoy the factory hot rods of old.
jeff ewaskey Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 That is one great looking Grand National!!!!!! Nicely done and that engine compartment looks sweet!!!!!
kruleworld Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 it's nicely executed with great details, but i've never have thought a 80's v6 to be very beefy (not like todays 6s)
Shawn Tillotson Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 If you think they are slouches I can see you need a ride in one. I have one sitting in my shop and it pulls harder through the qtr mile than my 440 big block Mopar!
michael1969 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 The Grand National was the fastest production car for 87. It ought to have power even for a v6. Great build.
Terry Sumner Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 We had a bunch of those cars in the Conn State Police back then. We used them for highway hazardous moving violation enforcement. Unmarked they were so much fun to patrol with. I could drive along with traffic and some idiot would blow my doors off and I could just step on the gas and catch up to whatever passed me in no time. Once that turbo kicked in it was GO TIME! And the offender never even knew he'd passed a Trooper! Unfair? Nahhh...after all...who's going to pull that stuff when there's a fully marked cruiser there?
