Len Geisler Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Anyone use this paint yet??? I just stumblded across it and was wondering if it is worth picking some up or not..... Thanks,
Enzoenvy1 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Well, over at Automotive Forums Hiroboy is a member. I have bought from him a few times, and countless others use his paint. From what I have heard on that site, he has exact matches and they are pre-thinned too!!!! Go over there and take a look. Find his name and PM him even, his name is Steve I believe.
Zoom Zoom Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I haven't tried it, but everyone that I've seen on other forums who have tried it raves about Hiroboy's paint. It's likely very similar if not the same type of paint as Cobra Colors. Considering Cobra Colors isn't selling paint at this time, Hiroboy is the only ready source of many of the colors they offer. Hiroboy/aka Steve has his own forum in the UK as well. http://www.spc.org.uk/forum/index.php
ismaelg Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I have heard these paints are very good. Are Is there an outlet in the states? Can these be mail ordered to Europe? Thanks,
Enzoenvy1 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Since the paints do not contain aerosols I believe that that they ship everywhere.
crispy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I'm waiting for th humidity to drop here so I can shoot my Nissan. I had no problem getting Zero paints shipped to me here in MN. The shipping time was under two weeks as well. I'm not a real big fan of the paint in the plastic bottles, but I can see shipping them this way over the ocean. Nothing I can't transfer to some badger jars. Chris
ismaelg Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Chris, Do you know if those are lacquer? I want to find out how compatible they are with my Cobra Colors stuff (thinner, clear etc) Thanks,
RS2000 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Here is a gallery from Steve's (Hiroboy's) store featuring models painted in Zero colours. I have used it, it is great stuff, I can recommend it. http://www.hiroboy.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=36 A little info here: http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_inf...products_id=866
crispy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Chris, Do you know if those are lacquer? I want to find out how compatible they are with my Cobra Colors stuff (thinner, clear etc) Thanks, Hi Ismael, The clearcoat I purchased from Zero says, "Pre-Thinned LACQUER Clearcoat". I do believe the CC stuff should work with it, however, I would test a small inconspicuous area first. Chris
gasman Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I'm hoping someone in the U.S. steps up and sells these paints. I've heard fantastic things about it, but I'm nervous about ordering paint from out of country

The shipping was fast as well and everything was packed great. Chris
Robyn Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I have ordered from them without any problems and plan on ordering a lot more unless Leon with Cobra Colors returns. I have not used the paint yet but was impressed with the service. Robyn
Enzoenvy1 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I have ordered hge amounts of stuff ($ wise) from Hiro, all is good.
gasman Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 how is the shipping from his site, I knew of Hiro's work for years (used and still kind of am active over Automotive Forums). I just worried if the price of shipping, My slump began around the same time Cobra Colors closed shop so I'd like to find something close to CC
Hiroboy Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Sorry to open the post again, We ship paints worldwide, but please check with your countries regulations first, as refunds can't be issued if customs remove paints from the parcel. Saying that so far all Zero Paints supplied has arrived with customers. Due to ther massive costs involved in "offical shipment of hazardous paints" to suppliers worldwide we will not have any dealers worldwide stocking Zero Paints and can only be purchased from www.hiroboy.com. The Zero Paints FAQ is here and should answer most questions : http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/zero_paints.php Thanks Steve
ismaelg Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hello Steve, Nice to see you posting here! I sent 2 inquiries online about some colors, but I was told you were having some computer issues. Should I send them again? Thanks,
