ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) So I found this storage building that has seen better days in this small town of mine (about 1500) has a butt load of cabs and rigs in various states of junk and then I go around the back where half the wall is missing and here is a 1965 REO tandem axle HD truck. Complete but in dire need of resto.. I will post a teaser and more later. If anyone needs refernce pics of details I took about 100 photos. Any idea what model this is. Has the Detroit V8 and Auto with locking diffs and electric shift. What model are all these parts. Rears are eatons on a beam type air ride. The guy told me its for sale at the right price. Registration says 97 but I still have to download the pic of that for the model. So any idea what it might be worth probably non running? Surprised to see the seat is air ride too. OK its a DL-632D. bandit1 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 get more pics......i wonder if there is any pete stuff in there?
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 Got more pics but all it has is a COE KW and 3 COE freight shakers and a couple late 90s Freightskaker house movers. Sorry. This was the only real find. The building was built in the last 10 years but something tore it all to hell.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 Working on downloading my 100 pics off my wifes phone in individual emails, since it won't sync with a usb or bluetooth. I got about 1/2 downloaded and it is driving me fricken nuts. Oh and no memory card slot.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 OK Here is the rest of the trucks,
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 If ya'll want more I can get em later. Here are a few more of the REO and then a link to all the pics (detailed) I took. http://s275.photobucket.com/albums/jj291/ARTEMIS1759/1965%20REO/
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 OK so I may have been wrong. On another forum they said it may be a 6v53 Detroit.
Jim B Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Nice find! Those cab overs look like they're in pretty sad shape.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Yeah not sure what the hell they did to them but I guess that is why they are here.
gray07 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 It looks like someone walked away from there garage, the way it has the tools in there, and now it has snow. Love the trucks
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 I talked to the guy. Owns a construction company. Not sure what the story is.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Yeah, missing most of the interior and other bits.
ARTEMIS1759 Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Yep that you did. Check out this link in the ART section I just finished in the last 3 hours. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55080
EmeryvilleCOE Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Man, I want to cry! shame to see all those workhorses sitting. When I lived up there we use to go looking for that stuff. I found a pretty cool H-67 once outside Minot, and an Emeryville.
Casey Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 did i spy a mid 70's dodge 1/2 ton pickup?? Actually, it appears to be an '80+ by the hood and grille surround I can just barely make out. Cool stuff.
