Ira Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) BIG DEAL TIRES!!! Some of the newer Deals wheels Tires are very soft and "warped". These tires are from a "New School" Z-28....they really needed some Help!!! First I fit them together as well as I could, trying to keep them as round as possible. I used a lot of Zap-A-Gap along the seam to hold them. Next I used a Sanding Disc in a Dremel Tool and sanded down the "rough' areas on the edges of the tires. I also removed that ridge on the sidewalls of the tires. Then the tires were sanded down with Foam File Boards and 220 Grade Sandpaper. Thanks Roadrunner for the "Sanding and Smoothing the Sidewalls" Idea! Here they are after sanding. There are still Bad Spots, but the tire is pretty round and the tires can be glued in so the Bad Spots Don't Show! Works for me.... Edited April 9, 2012 by Ira

Ira Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 BiG DEAL TIRES Are Ready!!! Finished the Z-28 Wheels and Tires for the RANCHERO... If you remove an 1/8" from the inner wheels as shown, you can reduce the rear width by 1/4".
