carchub Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) Amazing work you're doing! The detail is quite unbelievable, it's perfect! May I ask what method you used to weather the chassis/frame? Thanks, carchub Edited June 10, 2012 by carchub
sjordan2 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I spend time on lots of other modeling sites. And I used to think that John T. was one of the most amazing builders in the hobby. This is John to the nth degree, and makes my earlier opinions seem weak.

Thanks, carchub Roland........I use "Osh" brand flat black paint for the base color......then I give it a wash with "Folk Art" acrylic dark gray water based paint.......then I give a final wash with "Delta Ceramcoat" acrylic autum brown.......after it dries I give a mist coat of semi-gloss Krylon paint or Dull coat.......thanks.

Dr. Cranky Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I'm all out of words for this one. But I can tell you I've gained about 10 pounds eating popcorn and watching this one get finished.
cobraman Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 This build is amazing. I only wish I could build 1/10 as good as you. You are really doing a fantastic job on this rig and it will be quite the show piece.
jbwelda Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 like i pointed out in a PM (that you made so i couldnt reply back to...whats up with that?) you misspelled Lauderdale on the side...but since as you say the real truck has it misspelled too, then its not misspelled at all but true to reality on your truck. just wanted to follow up on our PMs
