Haubenschild Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 I started out by painting all the semi gloss black parts on the chassis , suspension , and Interior
Haubenschild Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) The body , hood , and firewall have been painted with 3 mist coats and 1 wet coat of Model Master Honduras maroon Edited March 10, 2012 by Haubenschild
espo Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Hi Liam. I like what you are doing with the Impala. Not to criticize, but after looking at your "paint booth" you must be single. Before the paint booths that everyone seems to be useing now, I used to use an old cardboard box laid on its side to help contain the overspray. Keep this build posted, look good.
crazyjim Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Honduras maroon was a hot color for Chevy in 1962. Build is looking good.
Erik Smith Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 One of my favorite cars. One of my favorite models. I will watch.
bbowser Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Great start. I love this kit, very well molded and detailed. I'm currently working on an Impala collection. Keep it going!

Haubenschild Posted March 14, 2012 Author Posted March 14, 2012 Nice and clean, Liam. Pssst - you left the manufactures stuff on there. Arghh , time to whip out the sanding sticks
crazyjim Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 It's always something, isn't it? I didn't mean to upset or embarrass you, Liam. I often overlook the manufacturers garbage until after painting.
