bsoder Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Pretty crazy lookin'..Jim that is one fine lookin' bike, to bad pics. don't show that kinda paint to it's full effect B)
crazyjim Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 Thanks Brian. I keep telling myself to take at least one pic in the sunlight of each build, but I always forget.
bbsbase Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Very nice built and great detail over all even when one knows that the 1/12 bikes has less detail than possible in this scale.
crazyjim Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 Thanks Ulrich. I have thoughts for the next one to have ridges on the fender tops and maybe on the tank too. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate a taillight between the fender and tire. Not much room there. I also want to try drilling holes in the single downtube.
David G. Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Cool chopper! Excellent work on the scratch building. When I read "Shifty Chopper" though, I expected to see a suicide shifter on it. I haven't seen a bike with one of those in years and years. Hmmm, wonder why? David G.
crazyjim Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Thanks, David. My ex-brother-in-law is an old Harley nut. He has 12-15 of them at any one time. He insists on suicide shifters and kick starters on his bikes. I watched him get kicked back once and he flew over the handlebars. He's about 6'4" and 250 lbs. I can't remember laughing so hard.

Hard-Core can have its drawbacks! David G.

camaroman Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Very Nice Bike Jim... I have all of the reissued MPC Choppers that I need to do... Love those kits, just can seem to get them started... but you have inspired me to get them out again!
crazyjim Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 I'll have to think about the hoodscoop, Bart. My mind has been telling me flat styrene. Thanks, Glenn. I don't think I've ever seen the MPC Choppers, but I'll tell you, those Revell choppers are fun kits.
Jantrix Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Great work Jim. I hope to see it in the flesh someday.
crazyjim Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks, Rob. I plan to take it to IPMS in Orlando and then the MAGS show in Tampa.
crazyjim Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks, Kane. Those bikes are fun builds.
