Scuderia Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I've never heard of it, what smell would one be looking for?
my80malibu Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Thats called Huffing, And that explains Why you would'nt sell me those Photoetched transfer scripts. Down in Tucson the other day.
Mike Kucaba Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 But, they are rare and oop! The smell test, you know, sniff to see if there is any solvent smell, like you do for paint?
Jantrix Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 He's basically asking if you guys ever smell your primered model to make sure it has gassed out thoroughly. If you can smell the solvent in the primer or paint, it isn't fuly cured/gassed out.
Jeff Johnston Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 you I always do the sniff test. if it smells like solvent its not ready yes Careful, if you sniffit too much you start saying "man" and "like" a lot without even knowing it. you know...like, wow man,. that's not dry yet.. lol
martinfan5 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Now that makes sense, sometimes yes , sometimes no
