I do not own a CNC machine myself but I have the possibility to rent one at a local do-it-yourself-garage. The owner explained me how the machine works and since a couple of years I go there to cut my models. I draw them with a program called Solid Edge.

I have now drawn about four models and build two of them.

Hessel, Those are VERY impressive! I love the White/Freightliner! What a beauty of a truck!

Having worked for several years in utility construction and having spent considerable time working concrete, answer me this, if you please; How many cubic yards or cubic meters of concrete does that trailer haul?!? 12-16 yards is about the max you can get on one truck here in the States, your's looks to be about twice that capacity... Very impressive, I will look in now and again to see more progress!

To be honest I'm not sure about the capacity. The trailer is by Trailex with a London Drum. I've asked several times for information but never ever received a reply. Very disappointing for me I must say. I think the thing is about 15 M3 (Sorry I'm European;-)) But I did draw the trailer from some photo's found on the internet. In the past time I have found some more info but this was when the trailer was about finished.

Th trailer is fine for me and some of my friends are quite jealous.

Hope you enjoy the updates I'm posting on the modelbrouwers site.

Hessel, JimB, thanks for ganging up on this and answering my question... Wow... a 20 yard truck... Being that I've often poured 6-8 yard concrete pads and driveways solo or with just one other laborer, I would NOT have wanted to see one of these things arrive on site. 20 yardsd is a lot of 'crete to work!

Also, I am going to be a pest and repeat Ben's question, Will you be offering this as a kit for sale? With a few 'Americanized' details, it would make a great construction site/onsite plant transporter... I could see one of my Paystar 5000's yanking one of these around a construction site diorama... :)

Sorry guys. The trailer will be a one of for now. But.... who knows what the future will bring. I do have some difficulties with the drum. If I can sold that problem I might consider bringing it as a kit. To be honest it is quite nice to be the only one to have such an exclusive one.

thanks,

Hessel

P.S. The site's the links link to are updated. The Lonestar is for 80% ready to go with the trailer.

Yes, your kits are extremely nice! It would be a shame for you to do all that work to produce them and not offer at least a few of them for sale. You would be recouping your time and money invested in producing them.
