  1. Things come together just fine. Some detail photo's, The suspension is just fantasy by me. I asked TRT and Tuff for info but unfortunately none of them replied. For a kit?? Not at this time. Just in the finishing stages of a concrete mixer trailer as a kit. Hessel
  2. To keep up with the daily update is still possible. Joining the assembled subparts makes it possible to try the widening structure. Hessel
  3. Well I'm still working on the thing so every day But I will try to get it right. Some more pics of the progress. Hessel
  4. The parts that were CNC milled and the tires and rims that I ordered. All parts are milled of 1mm polystyrene sheet. Thickening is realized by just glueing several parts together. I do not have a CNC machine of my own so no possibility to experiment with several thickness of material. The first pic shows a sheet I needed twice. It measures about 70x30cm. In general I needed about 1m2 polystyrene to get everything covered. Hessel
  5. In Australia and New Zealand they have al kinds of trailers. Real special are the widening trailers. After finding some real nice pdf drawings I decided to develope one of these trailers. It is a quad axle trailer with 4x8 wheels. This meant I had to figure out how to get these wheels. In the future I want to make a 2 axle widening dolly as well so I needed 48 wheels without any spare ones. The solution: I had them 3D printed. During the time it took to develop the thing I discovered a model in scale 1:50 of a Drake-trailer. Mine is from TRT. This is the model of the Drake trailer. And now some pics of the developed trailer and the tire spread out. And some details And the developed wheels, rims and tires are separate parts. All the parts are CNC milled and I'm working on the assembly of them. Hessel
  6. As I told the model is already finished. Here are the final photo's Hessel
  7. Thanks everyone. To be honest I have already finished the model but wanted to show you the 'in between' photo's Hessel
  8. I'm also a member of the Dutch IPMS and was asked to build the International Prostar by Revell but in fact the Moebius version with different box art and decals sheet. Photo's.... Hessel
  9. In fact the etch is developed and produced in the Czech Republic by a friend of ours Jan Rosecky. His stuff is really good and accurate. He has etch for the Lonestar/Prostar as well. Check out his website. Scroll a bit and you will find English language. http://www.liaznavzdy.cz/nedtrans/ctm.php Hessel
  10. Thanks for that. I know the site and have downloaded almost al the models. Hessel
  11. Always interested in that stuff. Sent me a PM and I will respond Hessel
  12. A friend of mine started something spectacular. Have a look. http://modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=40048 Hessel
  13. Could be. The resin model is scale 1:25 and the dump box is a 1:24 Revell. The models of these different scales look good next to each other but when you combine parts it may look a little off. Hessel
  14. Looking good. I'm looking out for you making the windscreen. I do have this resin model and wonder how to make it with these curved edges. If you have a good solution I might contact you to make me one as well. Hessel the Netherlands
  15. I have been working on 3D printed stuff and also came up with wheels and tires. They look really nice and detailed. Th first photo are wheels with the ones from Revell as an example. They were used in the race trailers and are 34mm in diameter. The next photo's are wheels I have drawn for a mate who wanted super single wheels for his dump truck. The first photo's are from the front wheels, the tandem are for the rear. With the right info I am able to make any wheel you would like. Prices are quite all right. Difference is the weight. These wheels weigh almost nothing. Hessel
  16. Why not scratch build it yourself?? I do not have any info about these trailers but would have a go if I had. With CNC milling it would not be that difficult I think.
  17. Philip d'Hondt from Belgium also build one of these monsters. It was shown at the Jabbeke 'on the road' show two weeks ago. In fact he also had a 3-axle version ready in 2012. I think they look really great. Hessel
  18. Everyone is welcome to visit the show next year. Only one warning, if you have been there once you want to go again and again and ag........ Hessel DMTC the Nerherlands
  19. Looks like nice Mack to me. What is the make of this resin conversion? Hessel
  20. I'm interested too. Want to build this rig as much as the other guys who reacted on this topic. I already bought two Western Star's, one for this and one might be out of the box. Hessel
  21. Well stranger things have happened. I only build US style trucks . This includes Australian and New Zealand ones. This one looks really good. thanks, Hessel
  22. That's a good looking oldie. How come you build these European truck when you have such beautiful US trucks over there? Hessel the Netherlands (where this DAF was 'born')
