It is a 1948 ACE Jeep Jeepster, I wanted this kit for soooo long, but was very difficult to find, and the price sometime was over the double zero... Finelly I found this one at a decent price, it is still complete, and I will not build it. The box, I don't know if the price ($1) is original or add later, If original it was kind of spendy... I remember my dad telling me about wooden kits that you had to carve to shape like a Pinewood derby car.That is a different animal but still a nice historical find! I've done some airplanes that had rubber bands and yep, they flew real good too. The big issue with Balsa wood is sealing it to take paint , the stuff soaks paint up like , uh....... It was little more than a chunck of wood that had "sides" of the body that you would glue on and sand smooth with the body. It wasn't even as nice as this Jeepster. And we snivel about a few mold lines on your models today. This must have a great meaning to you for what ever reason, enjoy.
