Hedgehog Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 All of you artists and geeks (in a positive aspect) of the building and detailing world. Do you know if there exists a1/25 scale range rover model (plastic) out there n where to get it. Ooh one more if there is a trailer cab with four doors, same scale???? Let me know thanks n keep on building...
ChrisR Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Aoshima did a stock version a few years ago and Esci did a Paris/Dakar racing version. I am sure the the online auction places should a good source.
Junkman Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Aoshima did several issues of a Range Rover Vogue 4-door, all of them stock. A very good kit btw. The ESCI Range Rover is the original 2-door and came in numerous versions, the Paris/Dakar is only the latest one. It was available completely stock, as a Camel Trophy car, and as a UK police car (jam sandwich). There probably were more. All of them included RHD and LHD dashboards. GeeBee Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Esci actually made a few models of the Mk1 Range Rover, and they were available as a Factory stock, Camel Trophy rally, and West Midlands Police versions, I had a few of these many years ago, and they can all be built stock, the later Italeri version has has the rear side windows molded over, so you can't build a factory stock version out of it. Aoshima made a few, but are the later "Classic" Range Rover, also look out for the Revell AG version, as it was a re-boxed Aoshima kit, All, sadly are out of production, so it's either eBay or places that sell's second hand kits, they do pop up from time to time on eBay.co.uk Edited April 20, 2012 by GeeBee
Brizio Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 BBurago has one too. It came in a civil, firefighter, ambulance version and a raid version. This is the newer one, also it came in different versions. The Martoys one... It came in different version. The ESCI one, it came in different versions too... Esci Paris Dakar version. Italeri, the "new" release, that are the same ESCI kit. The Aoshima, two version.
Hedgehog Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Thank u all of you for taking the time to always reply to all of my questions.
Junkman Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 BBurago has one too. It came in a civil, firefighter, ambulance version and a raid version. Yeah, but that's made of the weird stuff that doesn't craze when you try painting it.
Brizio Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Yeah, but that's made of the weird stuff that doesn't craze when you try painting it. Diecast...
martinfan5 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I would love to get at least one Rover kit, but they are fetching high price's, I have seen some in the three figures and then some around or starting $50 and up
Joe Handley Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I'm surprised that a model company didn't already make the Torchwood Range Rovet. How popular was that show overseas?
Junkman Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Never heard of it. Different model Range Rover altogether, too.
Hedgehog Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Going through the postings and everything wonder why companies don't come up with kits based on recent (2005-2011) cars very often.

Wonder why companies don't come up with kits based on anything but the most worn out shoes. Might have to do with that they are run by people for whom even a kit box is too big to think outside of. Johnag4004 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Never heard of it. Different model Range Rover altogether, too. Torchwood, adult Dr Who spin off, this was their vehicle, it's not a special edition... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006m8ln
Junkman Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Torchwood, adult Dr Who spin off, this was their vehicle, it's not a special edition... http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b006m8ln But it's based on the L322 and not the Classic. AFAIK no L322 kit exists.
