Dr. Cranky Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 The cool factor on this one is through the roof. Beautiful. I keep wondering why he suicide shifter would be so high and now I know. LOL.
Psychographic Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 I ordered some clear doll eyes from ebay for the skull. The eyes, A quick mount, Now he can see where he's going.
shucky Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 This is soooo out of control wild! I love it. In for more progress.
Psychographic Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) So Davey went out into the sun and got some color. Unfortunately the bike shop called with the bill for the parts on his new bike and he just fell to pieces. The Bike shop has been busy. Priming and the first coat of filler. Hopefully the last coat of bondo before paint. But how to paint it? Edited May 10, 2012 by Psychographic
camaroman Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 How the heck do you guys come up with this stuff ? Tacos before bedtime ? Methinks its Tacos and Tequila before bedtime !!!
Psychographic Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 How the heck do you guys come up with this stuff ? Tacos before bedtime ? It's the product of a very misspent youth.
Psychographic Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 We're into the painting process. All the chrome parts done in Alclad, The frame and tank have the silver base down. I still have no clue as to what color or how I'm painting the bike,
Psychographic Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 I went with a simple Candy Blue with a touch of White pearl mixed into it. I'm going to try to clear it later tonight.
Psychographic Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Right after the last coat of clear, the clamp slipped and the frame bounced off my leg and sock before hitting the cement. I picked it up expecting a furry, broken, nicked and scraped frame. Amazingly, there is only a slight mar on the edge of the back fender, not bad enough to worry about. It must be my lucky day. Final assembly is getting close.
Mercman Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And my wife thinks I'm out of control at times.
Psychographic Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Thanks guys. I'm still progressing and getting close to moving this one to under glass.
Psychographic Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Ya can't be a bad arse biker without a chaindrive wallet.
Psychographic Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) A little more paintwork, the eyes are very 3d looking, the pupil/iris is molded in a shape that is very realistic. Davey is almost done, he got a little more detail paint, teeth, tongue and fingernails.I have the club logo designed for the jacket and hope to have it painted soon, then it's just a final fitment of the hands and some ballast in his butt to keep him from rolling over. Without the flash and truer colors. Edited May 24, 2012 by Psychographic
