It looks very nice and clean. I know what you mean, my grandpa had a new '59 Dodge. It was two tone green and kind of the same "grandparent" look. Lol. Nice job Douglas!

My earliest remembrance of grandpa's cars was his 37 Chrysler sitting next to the house and the 51 Chevy we were using. Then he traded the Chevy in at the Pontiac dealer on a 54 Ford Victoria 2dr Hdt. Then he parked it infavor of a 54 Chevy Belair 4door with Powerglide trans, power seat, power steering, power windows(front doors only) and auto dimmer!(became my first car)

In 68 he bought a 63 Fairlane 500 2dr Hdt. 260 automatic.

In 73 he bought his first new car. A Chevy Nova. He ordered a Blue 4 door 307 powerglide with AC. They somehow sent a 2door Hatchback 350 4speed instead!!! I tried to get him to keep it when they offered to let him have it for the same price but he was having none of it and ended up with a Blue 4door with no AC and cash back!

The day he had his heart attack that took him he had 8000 cash in his wallet. He was getting ready to drive down to the Buick dealer and but a brand new 1979 Buick. A car he always wanted!

One of my old "running buddies" bought a '60 impala in the mid '60s from the original owner. It was silver with a white side stripe. The interior was red and white houndstooth. Engine was a 348, single four barrel and a 3 speed on the colume. Very nice car until a drunken tree walked out in front of him one night. Ah youth. He was not hurt, but learned a very big lesson. The Impala went to the big parking lot in the sky.
