Joker Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 After finishing the 59 Longroof .. I got back to the 53 Ford chassis that was keeping it out of "Under Glass". Work on the headers and exhaust is done. I finished the Hemi wiring next.Cleaned up the touch ups. And finally ..ready for Under Glass. Body and hood are sectioned, roof is stock height.49 Merc tail lites and 53 Ford Victoria bench seat. Interior door panels made from a tuck and roll bed cover with solder window cranks and styrene arm rests. Frenched antenna on passenger side. Black Force wheels and tires. Hemi motivation. Shardik Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Nice truck. That telescoping stay rod in the bed is a nice touch; scratch-built? I'd like to see a close up of it.

Thanks Y'all for bringing this one back. @ Johann Got this one on my Fotki.. Straightened paper clip with shrink tubing..scrap styrene for the handle, end pads and some paint.wi Stays on the bed just fine..just wedged in there. Then I added the release levers on the Jack stands with solder wire. And a bit of styrene on the top of the Jacks. 53 doing trailer duty hauling my Chopped, channeled and "Z'd" 32 Vicky. @ MercuryMan..drilled out the sides of the hood right in front...the hood lip is thick enough for drilling and inserting straight pins with a bit of super glue. for drill

JasonFL Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Great lookin truck, love the whole set up with the trailer and car. Also some really cool details with the stuff in the bed. Impressive how you get those little details in there and real nice touch with that stay rod. I would love to see some up close photos of all your little detailed stuff.

Thanks Y'all.. @ Jason..made this shrunken head for a 54 Chevy Phantom Wagon..bad thing is ..it's hard to see with a visor and all. Made with tree styrene and paint. Here it is attached to the rear view mirror. This is just a tool box,gas can and floor jack ..detailed with paint. The "wooden" box is just to keep things neat. Adding a little interest to a 72 GMC bed. Joker
Randy D Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Hi James, Really like the photo with the trailer and load. That all black theme is just awesome!

I was thinking of carving a skull head but I deffinatly have to try one of your cool shifters from your tutorials.
