Porsche 917's, Daytona 1970

These are a couple of 1/43 kits from Provance Moulage. These 2 cars placed first & second in the 1970 24 hours of Daytona. The bodies had some damage on them that needed to be taken care of before the usual build.

The loop of bodywork between the front windsheild & "sky light" were broken & missing on both & the rears spoilers were broken off ass well. The "loop" was repaired with Evergreen strip & fine piano wire & the spoilers were replaced with aluminum flashing.

Paint was premixed from Zero Paints & I did thin it a little more for better flow. First time using Zero paint & I like it. Dupont Eurothane was used for the clear coat.
