Barbo Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) Hi....I did try to do the motel with this model as I said a few months ago, but it was coming out a diorama of about 36"x40" with the parking area, but it is to big to handle. So I decided to use the plastic base that comes with the model and add a foamboard base to do the small hill. I also use the old method of tissue and dope covering used for free flight balsa airplanes. I painted the area and used dry weeds to do the trees.....Barbo Edited May 9, 2012 by Barbo
Barbo Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Sorry but I did'nt do the parking area, the vehicle would go to the left side of the stairs right below the hill....Barbo
Barbo Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 I installed a small LED light under the roof, I hope you guys like the idea...........Barbo
Dr. Cranky Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Pure eye candy, THANK YOU, Miguel. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
KHamilton Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I really like the effect of the LED, but here's a small suggestion: Block out a few of the windows in a room or two that might not have the lights on. It's rare that ALL the lights in a house would be on at the same time. Just a thought...... Great job so far. Love the weathering on the building and the figure in the window.
