my name is nobody Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 great color scheme. the yellow & black look awesome. the steel wheels and poverty caps are a nice touch.
W-Machine Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Dog dish hubcaps give it a bare-knuckle-brawler look that I like.
Chief Joseph Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 That is a great model. Super finish and crispy attention to detail!
zaina Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 thanks everyone for the kind words. the paint is lemon twist(an oringinal color) from dupont with dupont clear. the hood pins were made from piano wire rounded at the ends with a dremel; and the clips are some photoetched pieces i had loft over from another build. thanks again. andy
turn1wonder Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Doesn't get much better than that, picture-perfect. Bob
Harry P. Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Very nice! I love it. But a suggestion for next time: The black panel lines on the doors are way too dark. Look at the panel line between the hood and the fenders. Why would the line between the doors and the rest of the body be so much darker... black, in fact? Answer: they wouldn't be. Accenting panel lines in black like you did results in an unrealistic look. A better way to go is to flow a shade of color just slightly darker than the body color into the lines, not black. Also, the shaker scoop should be matte black, not gloss. But don't get me wrong... you did a real nice job on this,
Burnout Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Very nice, elegant build. The wheels are a nice touch. Nice photo work too!
