Chuck Most Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 'Ere she is. Plan is to eventually hook up an AMT livestock trailer, at which point I'll add the trailer lines.
JamesW Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 It's a shame what you did to that truck, but it sure does look good.
mistermodel Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 so nice.I like the coffie can and missing door handle the most.Instead of a cattle hauler, how 'bout a car carrier with some of your way cool rat rods?
Badluck 13 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 What a pile of junk!!!! that ol' girl has seen better days,so many cool details done,my favorite is the window switch....I think making something to look like this is much harder than making a shiny show piece, awesome job Chuck!!!!
Bennyg Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Great model! But I never want to see a real lonestar like that. Ben
ARTEMIS1759 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I was just about to say it looks like a farmer from ND must have owned it then I saw the signage. They use more grain trailers then cattle trailers up this way though. Good Job.
cappy625 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 that truck looks like it would be right at home up in north jersey pulling containers around the piers.i like it!
Chuck Most Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Thanks, guys! Now I've got to track down a trailer for it to tow.... and clear off a space on my shelf large enough for the completed tractor/trailer.
mikemodeler Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Nice work there Chuck, looks very realistic! That engine could use a bit more grime and dirt, almost too clean compared to the rest of the truck!
Chuck Most Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 Nice work there Chuck, looks very realistic! That engine could use a bit more grime and dirt, almost too clean compared to the rest of the truck! Um.... yeah. That engine is a refurbished unit, installed in 2026, when the original engine finally gave up the ghost. That's why it's a bit less grungy than you'd think. Yeah, let's go with that.
