gui_tarzan Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) The other 'Cat post convinced me to post mine. I did this several years ago and because the front end sits so high I wanted to do something a bit different. As you can see, I think I accomplished my goal. I scratch built the hoist, torches, bench, ramps and creeper. This project took approximately 100 hours over almost three months. Edited May 17, 2012 by gui_tarzan
High octane Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Yeah well the front end will sit high until you drop the engine in. Real nice display as your efforts shows it.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I love builds and mini scenes like this . . . also, I am delighted to see this mini scene paying homage to Ken Hamilton and his wonderful book. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more of your work and eye candy. Cheers, DC
SteveL Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Awesome set up and of course one of my favorite GM Products, the Catalina !
Lovefordgalaxie Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Not only the car looks awesome, but the diorama too. I liked all the small scratchbuilt detail, both on the car and on the set, not to mantion I love golden cars.
