Casey Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I know yours will turn out better than this 1:1 attempt at a modern Chevelle: http://www.amcarguide.com/custom/custom-chevelle-failed/

martinfan5 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I know yours will turn out better than this 1:1 attempt at a modern Chevelle: http://www.amcarguid...hevelle-failed/ Oh my god, that is fugly as h e double hockey sticks , is that based on the GTO?
lvnlwd Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 awsome idea i hope you paint bumpers and such body color for modern look and mold them in
ewaskew Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I like mixing body parts and coming up with something different and this is going to be a very nice looking build the way its going now.
customsrus Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Thanks to everyone that has made a comment on this build. Stay tuned for more..
customsrus Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Started on the rear bumper, removed the Chevelle tail lights and will replace them with camaro units, may end up losing one of the tail lights. Glued the bumper to the body and ten added some material to the bottom edge of bumper. Scribed panel lines to the bumper and body. Bumpers will be body color.
customsrus Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Panel lines scibed into body. Also added material to the front bumper and scribed panel lines.
customsrus Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Also added new rocker panels.Started to mud in body work.
Bartster Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Yes indeed! Now it's starting to look "retro". Beautiful work so far.
acro 94 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 holy cow im liking this every time i look in cant wait to see the finished product Robert
Danno Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I know yours will turn out better than this 1:1 attempt at a modern Chevelle: http://www.amcarguid...hevelle-failed/ Congratulations, Casey! You created ... the Beretta!
Badluck 13 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 This is all working soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good,no detail is missed on this body conversion...
customsrus Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 While I am waiting on the putty to cure I began working on the interior tub and the chassis. I had to move the floor of the camaro interior up slightly to get a better fit. I had to add material to the front and rear portions of the camaro chassis to fit the chevelle body.
customsrus Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 I started working on the under hood area of the chevelle. I used the insert from the camaro and modified it to fit in the chevelle body using some sheet plastic.
lvnlwd Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 just a thought but paint it chevlle blue and use the white ss stripes

Trans Am Erik Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 This is my kind of customizing! I love building concept cars too. You have a great design, I'll be watching this one. and thank you for not replicating that GTO/Ausralian based design. The only thing worse than that was the Bel-Air concept, cough cough T-Bird ripoff cough cough.
