Danno Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Saw it in person last Saturday. Gabe has a beautiful paint finish going on this build!! Gonna be nice when she's done!
hacked Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 look's real good, what one is it? we only got the golden T and it had a 4 barrel and the big T that had 3 2 barrels, the chrome looks a lot better. keep going. Jeff
my80malibu Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) Its the one that is orange on the box, The same as the golden T just with chrome instead the reason the chrome looks like better is because its AlClad painted after spending days removing seams and doing bodywork.(lots of sink marks too) In addition I changed the carb setup feeling the Six pack setup would look better. pbcanney Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 any progress? I really want to see one of these built.
my80malibu Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 any progress? I really want to see one of these built. I want to see this one done Too LOL! Actually I did some more painting on the Top and bed cover tonight but ran out of paint so I have to get some tomorrow. I did some more Alclad on the more of the steering parts and the Cowl lights. The windshield is a piece of garbage, all scratched up. I tried future on it, but it kept puddling up on me.
my80malibu Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Thanks Dan. I changed spark plug wire color, and plumbed the Carbs to the fuel block that I made from a parts box leftover. body is attached now, I would like to find some better material to make the radiator hoses out of then it will be ready for the Good Guys show
old-hermit Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I would like to find some better material to make the radiator hoses out of then it will be ready for the Good Guys show Automotive vacuum line works for the radiator hoses. It is more flexible and the appearance is closer to real than the kit hose.
Bonekrosha Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I have two of these in a stalled status right now while I am doing my Dukes cars. Well, a Big T and a Big Tub anyway. Beautiful model you've built!
oldschool Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 clean and awesome my friend, u got something very nice there. Keep it up Larsa
my80malibu Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 I have finished this, and wanted to show it here first before it gets moved over to the Big Boys side. It has been shown there through the building process.
my80malibu Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 I am very happy with the Alclad done on the entire front suspension and headers, needed to eliminate the parting lines
Dr. Cranky Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Nice model. It's huge. Thanks for sharing.
