Badluck 13 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I purchased a Revell Snap Pete 359 and some of the chrome is blemished real bad.....I filled out the form for defective replacement parts and got a reference number, that was a week ago and have not heard if it was going to be shipped or denied.....has anybody here ordered from Revell and received a response or does Revell just send the part(s) without notifying you if they are going to replace it or not?? Its not a real big issue,I never had to do a parts claim, worse come to worse,I can always Spazstix the parts...thanks for any advice or comments in advance.......
martinfan5 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 They are changing the way we order replacements parts, I have not used the temporary one yet, but it takes about 5-7 business days for them to arrive
Malard Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Last two times Ive ordered parts the only email I recieved was an order confrimation, then about 2-3 weeks later they appear in my mailbox.
vintagestang Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 The wheels from one of my kits were blemished really bad and I used the temp. one and I never got an e-mail.
Fat Brian Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 They must have a problem with the 359 chrome, you are the second or third person to mention this and mine is bad also.
jamesG Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 ordered clear parts for a 68 charger didn't hear anything at all from them until i both called an emailed them. as it turned out the parts came in the mail that day while I was at work.
my80malibu Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 You could return it to the store for an exchange that would be the easier
slusher Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 l have always recieved the parts 7 to 10 days after request....Slusher
Badluck 13 Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Hey thanks for the replies, just wondering what their process was,I will just sit back and wait to see it the come or not,and like I said notta big deal if not, just Alclad or Spazstix it then cuz heck its just a Peterbilt...be different if it was a Kenny
cruz Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I built this kit for a friend and the tires were out of whack, some people told me that it's some sort of imperfection on all these types of kits from Revell. I tried having them replaced by Revell and they responded....3 months later. I think it was because it's a Revell of Germany kit? Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I must admit that I also messed up one of the decals from the kit and they sent me a whole decal sheet!!
