Here is something I have been working on...

I call it a 71 Charger GTS. Basically I am making this into a viper in a 71 charger body!!

Here is what I have done so far......

Body painted in GTS blue with painted stripes. Dupont 2 part clear was used.

Pegasus Chrome daddies are the wheel and tire of choice

Never been much of a Fan of that bodystyle, always preferred the prior 70 and down Chargers(Grew up with a Neighbor that had a Pea Green Metallic with Black Vinyl Top, Black Denim Interior, and one Metallic Poo(h) Brown, & Light Brown Corduroy Interior :P ).

Got to say, your Concept is definately making me rethink that! Great Job <_<

I started this one a LONG time ago... I think 2 years to be exact? Well I got a wild hair over the weekend. I have decided to make this one a slammer. This means it will have an axle out back and pegs up front strategically placed so I can the stance exactly the way I want. In other words it wont be accurate at all on the bottom!

Here is the interior. Again I built it fairly quickly using the stock interior but trading out the split bench seat for Viper GTS seats from the parts bin. I whipped together some seatbelts using blue craft ribbon and PE hardware from Pro Tech. The dash was painted flat black and detailed with silver and clear blue added to the gauges. A viper steering wheel was added along with black flocking and a Nascar Fire extinguisher and gear shifter. Again nothing special, over the top. Just vintage meets Pro Tour.

Here is the powerplant again. Its borrowed or should I say pillaged from a AMT Viper GTS kit. Since a suspension will be non existent and I had to remove the wheel well kit arches to make room for the Pegasus rolling stock I am going to shroud the entire engine in aluminum bead rolls and all!

Here are some mockups of course! I am going for this stance but not as low in the front. But you get the idea.... The exhaust will be made from solid solder and will exit out two piped out the center rear of the car... al la Viper GTS! Stay tuned fellas! This is a quickie but a beauty!

The paint will be the star of the show on this one. The stripes are all paint to if you guys forgot. :)

Very nice, Dave!!

That is one of my favorite Testors lacquer colors!!

The interior looks really nice, even though you didn't go to the extreme end of detailing.

Thanks for sharing,

Wow, This thing looks AMAZING!!!

If you haven't found a set of air filters for the intake rams yet, I can highly recommend the ones found in the Street Rod version of AMT's '41 Ford Woodie - They look great on the Viper engine!

Acalades...its Dave T. so nuff said....what I really like is...your doin a SLAMMER....right on :) . Sometimes slammers, curbside don't always get...well thier props. But it is so coool to see SUPER DETAIL Dave T. put his magic touch on a slammer (I know this is some sort of take a break in between projects build) and hopefully people can see that slammers can also be kewl. Thanks Dave. I have been working on a slammer/curbside 1967 Impala diecast which I converted to a 67 Biscayne. for a while now, but it also has machining, vacuum forming, brass work and resin casting....but its still a slammer. So once again thats really cool Dave and of course, I'm sure it will be smokin.....
