61 Ford being done I was looking for my next project. Since I seem to be stuck now in the 50's and 60's I decided to try my hand at the 62 Buick kit. I plan to build this one as another mild custom. Kit is kind of like the Ford as the interior has the seats molded in and the chassis is all molded as one piece but this one does have a opening hood and an engine unlike the 61 Ford. Typical old school kit. Plans for this build not finalized in my head and will just see where the kit and parts take me. Thanks for looking in.

These make great customs . There was one in Rod & Custom by John D'Agostino that was gorgeous !

Looking forward to this one .

OK. Got some work done on the Buick today. Things done so far are the following. Molded the front and rear pans, sunk one antenna hole, modified the hood and cut the roof to make a targa type roof. I didn't care for the way the roof was just hanging there so I made some supports. I made them a little thick but I wanted them to be as they will be part of the design and will be covered with BMF.

That is just the lacquer paint. It still needs to be wet sanded and cleared and then polished. It will look much better when done.
