502 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I just did this build for a guy who was wanting it as a gift for his dad. Its a replica of a car that he derbied last year, unfortunately I dont have any pics of the real car.
MyBradKeselowski Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Good job, I think his dad will like it, looks realistic to me has just the right amount of damage IMO...
H.A.K Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I would have loved to see what you started with. All in all good job.
dimaxion Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Yupp . Just the right touches and damages . I like the throttle control . Thanx ..
502 Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 I dont have any pictures from when I started it. The body is the johan 1960 plymouth wagon. When I recieved it the body was in really rough shape. The frame and tub is from the amt 1958 plymouth fury.
JunkPile Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Grungy, dirty, muddy, shredded sheet metal, twisted frame, buckled roof....gotta like it. Nice details
Chuck Most Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Very cool! Gotta show this to a buddy of mine, seeing something like this built from a JoHan kit would irritate him sooooooo bad! Have to ask- where did you find the tires?
camarofreak82_427 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 man that makes mine look like ###### lol. i like it alot great job
CorvairJim Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Now I don't feel so bad about modifying MY Jo-Han Plymouth wagon, but then I didn't start with a glue bomb... I tore the shrink wrap off'a mine!
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Man, that thing has had a rough life. Very convincing.
