More and more Alclad products seem to be finding their way into my paint cabinet. All of their product finishes seem to just have "that look"

Hmm.........most true candies require a base of gold or silver. It doesn't mention this in the instructions on this link. Interesting.

EDIT - Nevermind. Their silver is called "base".

Don't let Donn Yost see those, he will have to create another DVD for me to buy!

Thanks for sharing them, they look killer and would be perfect for a custom paint job.

I picked up the Alclad " Bright Silver Base" and Kandy Orange today at my LHS. I was a little surprised to see the the directions, which said to spray the silver base directly on "clean, bare plastic"... Do they really mean for you to NOT PRIME the car body? That just seems so wrong!! Or is the silver base a kind of primer?

Just wondering what other people's experiences have been. And should I or can I use a clear coat at the end??

Has anybody here tried them? I ordered some and was wondering how they worked. Also do they come ready to spray or do they have to be thinned for airbrushing? I will also be using the alclad base coat. Thanks for any input.

Using the candy red on current project. Has given me some issues (what doesn't). Looks way cool. Yes it is ready to spray. Still have plans for it on next build.
