I played a lot with Legos, and I still have all, mostly City, some Space, and a lot of Technic. I think is thanks to the Lego that I start to build models.

Few years ago, I rebuild some of the Technic vehicles, I still have all the instructions. :)

Those pics are not from my Legos, but I didn't had or can right now take pics of them right now. Those Legos, are from the end of the 70's middle of 80's. A lot of memories!!!

The Unimog.

My brother had this car, and after we cover all the body like a normal car. It has working suspension, working steering wheels, gears, engine, and lighe going up and down.

Bulldozer... With this one was difficult to play, the tracks slides on regular surface.

I too built lego when I was younger. Also built plastic cars from a young age too and obviously still do. You are missing a whole series of Lego called Technic. These are 500 -1000 piece models with working steering and suspensions, Doors that open on air cylinders crankshafts with pistons that move and so on. For chirstmas one year my wife got me the buldozer which is radio controlled. The larger sets can get a bit pricey, but they are satisfying to build and do make a nice model. i have a couple shelves in my workshop to display them. Check out Lego.com and search the technic kits. Might be suprised at what is available

I played with Lego for as long as I can remember. When I was 15 or so, my mother destroyed it all by putting it into a pillow case and stucking it in the washmachine at 60 Celsius. Nothing fit together anymore after that.

About 10 years ago, I started buying Lego for my children so I can play with it again.

Legos were my life!!

When I was a kid, I thought I would never, EVER stop playing with them every day! I did stop though... once I became interested in girls and cars. LOL

However, fast forward to about 2 years ago... I wanted my daughter to experience the same fun I had, so I went to my parents and brought home some old boxes full of pieces. She really took a major liking to them (and so did I... again!). We have so many new sets now, it drives my wife nuts!

Here's one I threw together recently: (the Tractor Pull thread in the truck section made me think of it...)

My daughter and I have a great time playing together with these and I think they're a great "hands on" educational toy. I learned a ton when I was a kid about gear ratios, different types of electrical circuits, etc... from the "Technic" sets. :)

I agree, they are a bit on the pricey side, but they are made really well.

Wayne, that tractor is awesome. They have so many more specialty parts now than when I had them, I kind of jealous.

Thanks Brian!

I might end up giving that one to my dad... Every time he comes over to visit, he HAS to play with it! LOL

Yeah, they do have a TON of new pieces now. We (Emily and I) have a lot of the new "City" themed sets, and they are REALLY COOL! All of the vehicles look a ton more realistic than they did in the 80's and early 90's...

"Old" vs "New"

Greg, that Rifle is AWESOME!!! It's amazing the stuff that some people can do! Man, I love being alive! :) :)

Wayne, I think I had those hot rods when I was a kid and yep, they were very typical of Lego design at the time, what I call the four wide period. The great new six wide trucks and things were after my time.

Greg, that rifle is so cool. Some people amaze me with their creativity.

I forgot I did this quick build for a Moparts forum member, who used to own a jacked-up A-100...and likes beer.
