'74 Challenger

I've had this kit for a while, but decided to start it this past week while waiting for paint to dry and parts to arrive for some of my other builds. I put off this buld because of my disapintment with the quality of the kit. It's from the Arii Owners Club series and it's intended to be a motorized toy (motor sold separately). Unfortunately for me, I didn't know this until after I had ordered the kit from Japan. While the body details were OK, and the interior lacking, the chassis and engine were as inacurate as you could possibly get. Even though the doors and hood open, I glued them shut because of this

This build was inteded to recreate my Dad's old '74 Challenger. I don't have a reference pic to post, so you'll have to trust me on the accuracy.

Extra's:

-Felt was used for the headliner and carpeting

-PE Wiper blades were added

-Paint is Duplicolor Chrysler Forest Green. It went on perfectly! One of the best rattle can paint jobs I've ever done.

-I ussed Future polish after some light wet sanding and buffing.

-The tires are left over from my 'Cuda build (http://www.modelcars...showtopic=56449), and the wheels are from Scenes Unlimited > top notch quality!
