Ace-Garageguy Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 One of the most talented and prolific designers ever to have walked on the planet. Ciao, Sergio. Buona notte e sogni d'oro!
Harry P. Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Ok, I gotta admit, I thought the guy had died years ago!
martinfan5 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Ok, I gotta admit, I thought the guy had died years ago! Died, heck cant say I have ever heard that name before, well its not ringing any bells in my head, or maybe it is , and all the other voices up there are talking to loud for me to hear the bells
peter31a Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Prolific designer of many Italian automobiles as well as many others, British, French and then some.
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 For those who don't know already, he or his company were responsible for many of the most beautiful cars from Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, etc.
Junkman Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 For those who don't know already, he or his company were responsible for many of the most beautiful cars from Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, etc. Actually, the company that has one of the longst standing and busiest co-operations with Pininfarina is Peugeot.
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Yes, but in the US, he's better known for his relationship with Ferrari and other Italian makes, partially because his Cisitalia was featured by the NYC Museum of Modern Art in 1972. We haven't had a lot of Peugeots over here, but many US car guys know the Ferrari 275, the Dino 246, the Alfa Spyder Duetto, the Fiat 124 Spyder, the Ferrari Daytona, Testarossa, Ferraris 308 and 328, 355, 360, 550 Barchetta and the F40 and Enzo.....not to mention some spectacular show cars like the the Mythos and the Maserati Birdcage 75th. The company's work reads like a who's who of vehicle design.
