catd11rpusher Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Brian love the paint job. I like how you did the cab. I'm going to try a two tone on my titan. Can't wait until you are done. I got a lot of good ideas from your work. The solder is a lot easier to uce then wire. Thank you for the tip. HAPPY MODELING
camaro73 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Thanks for the compliments guys! You are welcome Mike!
camaro73 Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 I added a few more details to the cab and clear coated it. Also cleaned off my work area. Now I cant find anything! ;D
camaro73 Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Worked on the interior today. Nothing special but it is complete.
BigBad Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I like the color of that interior. Nice detailing.
camaro73 Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 I got the glass and interior installed the other night.
camaro68 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Very sweet love the stripes on the cab love the whole truck love the cabovers of any kind
BigBad Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Hey Brian, I know you're mocking up the cab on the frame, but do you expect it will sit the same way once installed on its mounts? Meaning that it sits just right the way you're showing it in the pictures. The cab to wheel gap looks good.
camaro73 Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 Here is a pic of how it sits now Robert. I have one hinge installed and the cab is resting on the intake pipe. I shaved down the pipe to help it set correctly but it needs to be shaved down a little more. I also mounted the grill 1/16 lower to help raise the cab a little.
catd11rpusher Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Brian nice work, the color of inside is nice. I had a nice pro modeler help me make curtians out of tissue by putting elmers gluy in warm water the shaping then it turned out nice. Love your paint job!!!!! GREAT WORK
camaro73 Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks Gordon and Mike! I will have to remember the curtain idea for my next build Mike. Thanks!
camaro73 Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 I spent a little more time with it today. I put on the emblems, visor, running lights and horns.
BigBad Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Very nice! What have you planned for the door handles and the grab rails? Are you using the kit parts or updating with newer items similar to the parts on the Aerodynes?
Hary Bare Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) Very nice! Love the paint job! Believe this will be my second big rig. Edited August 13, 2012 by Hary Bare
