cdnmodman Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Lots of build ops for this one when you watch this !!
Ben Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 OOOOOOOOOOH, man am I glad I stumbled onto this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a truck I have always wanted a model of!!! Tom is an incredible scratch builder so I know that master has to be really awesome!!!!!!!! PLEASE keep us posted as to the release!!!!!!
charlie8575 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Charlie ?/ Where is the '20's Buick ?? Thanx .. Click on the link to that picture, John. Here it is again just to be sure. http://www.riggsboysracing.com/66%20n-600.htm It's the third-to-last picture from the bottom. Nice red-and-maroon car with a tan top. Charlie Larkin
charlie8575 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Some really neat trucks in that video. The super-stubby terminal truck is very cool. As was the tanker with the Mercury badging. If multiple wheelbases could be done, that would be very cool. One for a straight truck (think flat-bed sized....hint, hint,) and tractor-sized. Charlie Larkin
Gluhead Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Jeff, what a great subject! This is definitely in my top 10 truck projects I'd like to tackle one of these days. Please check your pm's...I think I may be able to help on the tire.
cdnmodman Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 How about this cab as a nice California style big stick wrecker !! http://www.imcdb.org/i046817.jpg
jeffb Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 got most of the parts in the molds, got the body all polished out and ready for "the dip". should be ready next week
gtx6970 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I'm in, waiting quietly . Now, if I can just find a late 60's 2ton Dodge cab kit, hint hint,
jeffb Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I'm in, waiting quietly . Now, if I can just find a late 60's 2ton Dodge cab kit, hint hint, trucks are not one of my specialties when it comes to mastering. if somebodys willing to take on the task, id be willing to see if its castable
cdnmodman Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) When it comes to the Dodges if this is what you are looking for: http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4092/5219186592_14b65fcbaf_z.jpg RMR has a nice resin 1957 Dodge COE for around $40.00, have seen one up close and its well proportioned with an opening hood. Ben Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Not to hijack the thread but these are what I think would be good There were avail in the past but I talked to the caster and the mold is now bad with no intention to repair it at this time I already have an RMR resin cab,,, bit it's only a 1/2 ton cab style I have two of those Dodge conversion kits that were done by Tom Coolidge. If that's the ones that have the worn out mold, then there is another caster making their own version but I forget who. I thnk it might be the ModelHaus? I have to chack. I remember that it comes with the pickup bed. I am waiting for a friend to finish mastering those Snake and Mongoose hauler beds. I believe he's going to offer them as resin and plastic kits.
jeffb Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 not an expert on trucks, but im told the ford c600 will do
