zaina Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 this one started out as a glue bomb that i built as a kid. after a trip to the purple pond and some fresh paint here is where im at. machined pulleys, radius rods and radiator support replaced with metal, wheels and tires from the 37 ford pickup kit and of course a 6" chop. if i ever get this one done it will be my first successful chop job.
Olskoolrodder Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Me too! Chop looks great, better than the few I've tried,LOL!
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yeah, looking really fine so far. That radical chop works great on the '32 3W. Makes me think of a dry lakes car. Replacing what you did with metal makes for a much more convincing model too.
zaina Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 thanks guys. ace, dry lakes is the look i am after. was thiniking about weathering it with some salt but not sure how to do it. if anyone could offer me some advise, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lunajammer Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I never tire of seeing those artillery wheels on vintage speed subjects. Excellent choice.
