Another older kit I completed in 2011. MPC Round 2 reissue 1976 Caprice box stock. I'm loving all the reissues, as I was born in '82 right after many of the greats were already issued. Enjoy!

i used dupli GM Brown Met. I know I need to add foil too, in fact I think I am going to do that and add a soft top. I built this last year when I ran out of foil, I recently bought BMF new "improved" foil and used it on my 65 wagon build that stuff for some reason works better than the original foil. So a redo is in the works

Nice job.

The vinyl rub-strip down the center of the side should have a bright outer lip with an insert to approximately match the interior. I would recommend using the interior paint for it.

Also, for future reference, the oil pan should be painted engine color instead of left chromed. An hour or two (at most) in some bleach in a sealed jar would remove that. I've found the undercoat used for the plating makes a pretty good "primer" coat.

I do agree a little foiling and detail-painting would go a long way to bringing out the best in an otherwise nicely-executed model.
