Qwit Pushin Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Just came across this free app at the App store, imodelkit.app: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imodelkit-free/id393872482?mt=8 It's got a virtual paint mixer, scale calculator, and other neat tools that are handy to have. Anyhow it's free so check it out.
Casey Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 That's neat and probably handy, too, if you have an iPhone.
darquewanderer Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) If I had an iphone I'd probably get it. But as I don't/won't. Is such a program available for a non(i)computer? Edited July 23, 2012 by darquewanderer
Wagoneer81 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) That's neat and probably handy, too, if you have an iPhone. I'll let you guys know how it is. I'm downloading it onto my iPhone3 now! It looks really cool and handy! EDIT: Well, so far so good, the paint chart and paint mixer will take most of the guess work out of custom mixes. I just experimented with mixing Federal Standard 30219, brown with Testors colors. Through about 5 minutes or trial and error, I got a ratio of 11 parts 1226 grey, 18 parts 1133 lt. brown and 4 parts 1114 yellow... This alone, is enough to convince me that this will be a very handy app. Edited July 23, 2012 by Wagoneer81
charlie8575 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I wonder if anyone can re-write this for PCs? It sounds like a wonderful program. Charlie Larkin
Rob Hall Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I don't have an iPhone, but have a Mac Book Pro...I'd like an OSX, Windows, or Android version to play with...
Nova-ss Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 I wont get phones like that.I need a phone to just be a phone.that said it would be great if some one would make it for PC.I use computers for what there job is.Thanks,Chris

I have an iPhone, because my last place of employment mandated that I have one. A month after I purchased it, (and after 25 years of dedicated service), they laid me off. So now I've got this phone with a 2-year contract. At least this app makes it somewhat worthwhile.
Tony T Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 I loaded it onto my iPod touch...looks like this will be handy! There's also a scale converter, so you can input measurements 1:1 and the result is the scale equivalent (as you selected, though 1:25 is not listed, 1:24 is) in the measurement you want (mm on inches). That will be handy, too!

Rob Hall Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Wish it was for android. Yeah... I'm on my second Android phone..just replaced my old Motorola Droid with a Motorola Razr Maxx. I have other Apple products (iPod, Mac Book Pro) but I like Android phones. Though I will be getting a iPhone soon as a work phone.
cruz Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Well, I was considering the purchase of an I-pad these days, this might just seal the deal!!
