martinfan5 Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks guys, I need to keep going on this one, I doing this for this month club theme, and here are some updates I got the body painted, but it did not come out very good, I blame the weather lol, I know its hard to tell in the light chassis and interior getting worked on, I need to go back and clean up a little and getting some of the parts for the roof rack and the tail fins painted
W-409 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 It's really shame that this Reissue is so bad quality, and I mean the parts count. Otherwise this would be Must Have kit for me. Is there better quality kit of '59 Caddy "Wagon"/Hearse etc.? You're doing very good job on this one. Interesting build, I'll be watching.
martinfan5 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Thanks guys, this is not really bad a kit, just take the kit for what its worth, I say go for it and get it. Here is an update, starting with the body, since I am almost out of BMF, well not enough for this one, I decided I wanted to try something, so I masked the body, and spray the chrome trim, well I use aluminum, but it still looks decent, well to me anyways, yes I know it would look better with BMF, I just hate applying BMF and work on the roof rack continues and the wheels
Danno Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Go, Grasshopper, Go! Looking good. On the other hand, we may have to call you Spookhopper! Who you gonna call?
martinfan5 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Thanks guys, sure, you can call spookhopper, or what ever else, just dont call me late for dinner , wiserhopper
Dr. Cranky Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Looking good. I would like to do mine as a surf wagon.
martinfan5 Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Kind of like the Johan Heavenly hearse?, just older, I have been thinking about doing one was a four dour truck version. On to what I have got done, almost all the decals have been applied I did the back wash on the front grill, attached the rear light on the roof rack, put the front bar on, I also added the gutter clips if you will
