Just mean and tough looking. I'm a big Belair fan and this goes right up there with my favorites. A lot of really cool clean detail, makes me want to get mine done. Nice build, well executed.

Question, how did you do the plug boots on the distributor? They look so cleanly done and real!

I just used a larger diameter wire, sliced wedges out of them, bent them accordingly and glued them at the right angle.

I fabricated the hinge out of sheet plastic, it has two pivot points and is spring loaded.

I also set up a release hook that is activated by a lever under the grill..

steve thats some incredible work! thank you so much for the pictures of the hinge. im gonna look for those wheels and as soon as i can locate that dub car ill start on it :) . although it will be my first big scale it wont nearly be as great as yours but it will be a fun project.
