A friend on another board is looking for some early-model police equipment, but I'm not exactly sure what. I do know that most of Zoli's stuff is a little too modern for what he wants.

1. Besides the Jo-Han Plymouths, can anyone think of any kits with older style police lights, etc?

2. Is anyone casting any of that stuff in resin?

Thanks.

How old, Charlie?

Like everything, the era dictates the style, etc. How "early" is your friend's "early"?

The old MPC Merc Police snap kit ??

The "light bar" is not only too new but it is also NOT a realistic representation of any actual light bar.

Beacons came along in the mid-50's.

Light bars didn't happen until the 60's, and NONE of them looked like that thing.

I don't know what "police equipment" that kit may have for the interior.

I don't know what's in this kit because I've never bought one because it's just a toy-like cartoony caricature of a cop car. It is way too cartoon-ish.

I had the same question earlier today about 50's stuff, which can be found in lindbergs 40 ford kit as I learned from danno. Now if you want to get older then that try the gangbusters kits from MPC, their filled with all sorts of police goodies.
