Hello.

I have been toying with the idea of building a 33 Dodge pick up in 1:25 scale for some time now.

There is just one problem.......they do not exist as models, at least not to my knowledge !

While i have weighed up the option of modifying a revell 32 or AMT 34 Ford into a 33 Dodge, i have decided it would be far easier to start a fresh.

With i have plenty of experience scratch building models and no shortage of material to work with there is just one thing stopping me from starting this one, LACK OF MEASUREMENTS !

I am just wondering if there is any one out there who owns or has access to a 33 Dodge Pick and is able to supply me with measurements for this project. It does not nessesarily have to be a 33/34 Dodge, a 33/34 Plymouth or Desoto would do, and while i would prefer a pick up any closed body will do,

I can email through a diagram with all the measurements i need.

If any body is able to assist me with this project i will be very greatful.

Regards Rob.

If you know at least one given measurement, say the wheelbase for instance. It is possible to take a picture from the internet, and scale it to a grid using a photo editing program. From there it is relatively easy to gain all the rest of the measurements. I need to go to work, but if you are interested, I'll post how I did it in photoshop later.

Robert, I'm doing an all-steel '33 Plymouth for a client. Not a truck, but you said you could use measurements from a closed car body. PM me with the diagram or dimensions you need.

Hey, I just remembered Fred's Resin Workshop makes a '33 Plymouth body only, no fenders, part #BOD35. Though the lines aren't really right, it might save you some time. I've seen them on ebay occasionally too. Though it's had the windows opened up as a "modified" race car, that looks like a pretty easy fix. Just a thought.
