camarofreak82_427 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Looks awesome i love dirt cars i got an old 69 on the parts bucket maybe this will give me an idea lol
outragis Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 worked with chassis, lots of trimming, but should come out good...not sure what I'm doing, kind of winging it
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I really like what it wants to be when it's grown up. Looking good so far.
outragis Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 CHANGE OF PLANS! The 69 body would not fit that great on the chassis, the 66 works better, Now the 69 will be pro street, and 66 is race car!
Dr. Cranky Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Liking it so far. Looking forward to more.
outragis Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) Liking it so far. Looking forward to more. thank you, Looking for a nice color combo...any ideas? the chassis one color, the body another. looking for a good number also, looking to represent a cheverlot dealership, or would love some custom decals for my side Business "The Nova Shop" hopefully will be modding body tomorrow night and paint booth on Sunday, so any thought are helpful Edited September 1, 2012 by outragis
outragis Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 cut the wheel wells and added suspension
rmvw guy Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I like both of the bodys, I was going to ask about the opening doors (like why the extra work?) and now it doesn't matter. The orange '69 is awesome! I love the Modifieds!
outragis Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) the body had opening doors when I got it in a trade, the 66 just fits better, I just altered the chassis about 1/2 an inch, and it fits so much better, I feel like Dr. Frankenstein! pics up shortly Edited September 2, 2012 by outragis
ronr Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Good progress Eric! I have Several more builds based on Nascar chassis`s including a `66 Nova. I`ll post Photos of the `63nova Chassis later today. Other planned builds are the `66 nova, `69 Falcon and a `71 Mustang. Keep up the good work!
TooOld Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I wondered about the doors too . The '66 looks much better as a dirt car than the '69 did . It should look great when you're done !
outragis Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 car is in first coat of white primer, chassis was shortened, need to finish up the "welds" but things fit alot nicer, still looking for a hot color combo...
outragis Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) worked on body, tweaked suspension Edited September 4, 2012 by outragis
outragis Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) Looking good Eric! The stance is right on! Thanks Ron, it is coming along, should there be a rear spoiler on it? Edited September 4, 2012 by outragis
outragis Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) Spoiler and scoop? what do you guys think? I will de-chrome the spoiler and paint body color, (I think) it is a NASCAR spoiler off of a 86 Monte ss Hardees car, I can move it back to the edge of the trunk lid Edited September 4, 2012 by outragis
gasser59 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Definitely spoiler. Lovin' this modified. I like the '66 over the '69 significantly. Dirt runners rule.
outragis Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 Just bought these, I think they will work better
vintagedragfan Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 going to be a sweet little circle burner! I think spoiler for sure!
