1972coronet Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I hope that I'm not alone in this here ... Is there any-one else who'd like to see Round 2 (et al.) release a pack of narrow-stripe whitewall tyres for mid-60's to mid-70's cars ? Think : MPC's annual kits from that time ; the Good*Year whitewalls . Certainly , Round 2 could make some of their excellent "pad printed" tyres in , say , scale F70-14 (ad seq.) for the recent flux of 60's and 70's reissues . Thoughts ?
VERNON Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I agree, it would also be nice to see a set of late 60's - early 70's dragster tires..
1972coronet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 I agree, it would also be nice to see a set of late 60's - early 70's dragster tires.. Absolutely ! Firestone Drag 500's are definitely needed in the aftermarket .
Casey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Have you sent an e-mail to Round2, letting them know you'd like to see these tires made?
W-409 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Thin Stripe white walls, yes! I would get one set of them right away. 60's and 70's Dragster tires, even bigger Yes! There can never be too many Drag Slicks. Also I'd like to see high profile tires with Good Year or Firestone letters, like normal 15" tires that came straight from the factory. Like these:
Junkman Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'd like tyres with anything. This no sidewall detail at all is most annoying.
1972coronet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 like these? YES !! Exactly ! And , as some-one else mentioned , Raised White Letter would be great as well .
1972coronet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 I'd like tyres with anything. This no sidewall detail at all is most annoying. You're right , Junkman : the whole "no-sidewall-detail-at-all" deal is just annoying ! Truly , I'd be happy with an impression --an indentation-- of a whitewall stripe ; a guideline for using either Gel pens or a manufacture-provided decal .
1972coronet Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 Have you sent an e-mail to Round2, letting them know you'd like to see these tires made? I have sent a number of emails to Round2 for a number of proposals ; the tyre proposal hasn't been one yet . I should copy & paste the link to this thread in my email for them to see
JollySipper Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 These can be ordered from OmniModels.com....
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I would like to see these and more. Let's face it, one of the week points in most kits the lst several years, has been the "no name" tires. I know it has a lot to do with licensing, but I would love to have a nice supply of tires on hand
john sharisky Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) Part number 426 tires from The Modelhaus. Note the sidewall lettering: John Edited October 4, 2012 by john sharisky
