cotto Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 This is a bad ass build man, the pictures with the uptop are awesome. Love the stance.
HondaSan72 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Simply breathtaking. Love the color combo. Great job.
meaneyme Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hey Cruz, I think the whole front window frame is supposed to be covered in aluminum. Have you seen the pictures of the real one? sorry for pointing it out, it's just that you did such a wonderful job on it...
cruz Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Yes my friend, I fixed that a few days ago, here are the recent pictures.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
Danno Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Excellent! Bold color choice, but, yeah ... I think it works!
Vanoyen Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 (edited) Amazing build! I love it. I've been undecided about starting the Spyder or the coupe first (converting to GT version) but you've inspired me to go with this I have to admit, the Spyder is engineered a little better with crisper details and better fitment of parts. The 1/1 scale coupe R8 is imho a better looking car but the kit has a few warped parts and some parts that don't fit together too well. It's not that big a deal and it's a good kit too but this will be my first build after 20 or so years and I'm relearning everything. I'm going to try your technique for doing panel lines as it looks great. Very well done and once again, amazing build! Edited April 13, 2014 by Vanoyen
vwdave92 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Great job. I've done the hard top 3 times but never the drop top. Going to have to get one of these
Belugawrx Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Another great paint job Marcos!! Wheels look great as well, did you tone that outer web down with a wash? Careful with those headrest mould lines Revell is notorious for. Awesome build bro Cheers

cruz Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Another great paint job Marcos!! Wheels look great as well, did you tone that outer web down with a wash? Careful with those headrest mould lines Revell is notorious for. Awesome build bro Cheers Thanks guys! Bruce....outer web???
Belugawrx Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 The 'spokes' look slightly darker than the center. Might just be the angle Love it Cheers
cruz Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Sorry, couldn't understand the question, now I do. Rims were Alcladed, center was not......
dino246gt Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Sweet! Looks much better without the blue behind the windshield top. Awesome build quality as always from you!
