1:8 scale parts

I done my search through the forum, not an in depth search.

My question is where can I find 1:8 scale parts such as rims, etc. I got the big T kit and just about everything on eBay is for pocher. Tdr is out of my budget.

What style of wheel are you looking for, Josh? And which other parts?

Not quite sure, wanted to see what my options were. I think I want some slicks for the back. Supercharger for the engine. Other than that I really don't know. I "have" the kit just can't get it until Christmas lol.

1/8 scale RC and diecast would seem to be your best options.

Is 1:8 scale rc the same? Seems to be a wacky size to me.

Most R/C stuff close to 1/8 is usually 1/10 scale.

I will PM you with some info, Josh. The Big T includes a pair of whitewall pie crust slicks. Are you looking for some wider or different slicks?

I suggest if you have a local hobbyshop that deals in RC stuff to take on of the tires you want to use there and see if any of the RC wheels will fit, most of the staff at my local hobbyshops seem happy to help with stuff like this.

I have seen 1/10, 1/12 and 1/8 scale RC stuff so there might be something you can use.

I'm looking for more of the "street" slicks with a few grooves. I have another question about air dry clay that I could possible make my own. I will post that in the q&a if it hasn't been asked.

You can make your own tires and wheels out of styrene; that's what I do. It's time consuming but not all that difficult.

Tdr is way out of my pocket book. As for styrene I would not even know where to begin. After watching johns build I am really liking the rear tires from that build.
