BKcustoms Posted November 11, 2012 Author Posted November 11, 2012 Thanks for the pictures Bryan! Those are a HUGE help. I'm doing some painting on the engine now, if all goes well i'll have an update later tonight.
bryan_m Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 youre welcome! cant wait to see more of this. bryan
BKcustoms Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 I've started painting the interior pieces, colors are dupont intense blue, doeskin tan, and tectic gray. Thanks for looking! I'll post some better pics tomorrow when I get some batteries for my camera. (I'm using my ipod right now)
BKcustoms Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Well I was able to get some batteries for my camera so here are some interior pics.. I also decided to shave the fender trim since this is going to be a mild custom, I might shave the rear fender trim too but I'm not sure yet. I figured I'd throw in a quick pic or two of the other Olds I'm working on since I'm building both of them simultaneously. Let me know what you think! Billy
charlie8575 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Very nice job on the fastback. The coupe looks like grape tonic. Charlie Larkin
jsc Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Personally, I liked the way you grafted the top. It keeps the flow of the windows and body lines nice and neat. Great job!
Duntov Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 This update is much appreciated and VERY critical for those of us who would like to do a fast back version of the 50 Olds...... the key issue here is the cuts that Billy has noted.... Great work and thanks from a big time (real owner) 50 Olds fan!!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Tom Setzer Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I checked out the link Charlie posted, and Prefer your method, over the one it shows!
BKcustoms Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Thanks guys! Bill, I'll be bringing both of these along with my merc speedster in May. The motor is now done, pics this weekend. (school decided to block photobucket so I can only upload pics when I'm at my dad's house)
horsepower Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Leave the rear fender trim, that makes a great point of reference & adds a little "flash" to the side view (also helps people recognize it as an "Olds".
