blkdc2
Was thinking of making seats fold forward like the Franklin Mint 1/24 scale replica cars. Anyone tried this before? Any good tips? not much space to work with in making a hinge. Thanks
cobraman
Some kits had folding forward seats. I can't recall which ones but perhaps someone will be along to tell us.
Deathgoblin
I've had an IMC 48 ford and an Aston Martin DB 4 that both had folding seats. Those were both bench setups, though. Not sure about buckets.
Guest
The AMT '55 Chevy pickup had a folding seat. Very simple design that should be easy to copy. IF I'm not mistaken, the '50 Chevy pickup did also.

Foxer
I've done it before using a wire on each side of the back that went into holes on the side of the seat bottom. Might need some kind of stop so it doesn't recline all the way. This is similar to how I've seen it in kits that have them. Usually in kits they have arms with pins into the sides of the bottom. blkdc2
Thanks for the replies. I might try the two pins to bottom seat technique but curve the pins like a "J" so the seat back can rotate forward.
Jantrix
I did this many many moons ago so forgive the workmanship, but I think it's good enough to get the point across. I made two J brackets from styrene and the pivot is a piece of metal rod.
