modelmarknz Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Finally after well over a year off modeling , due to health issues in the family and moving house , anyway heres the first build I`ve got on the go... It`s another NZ stockcar ... (big bumper cars) This one has working steering, Got the bonnet done today .... 3 plus hours to build , sure made it hard for myself with all those angles.... oh well love a good challenge Was able to get some more done on this model in the weekend due to the bad weather outside there was NO racing at my local track... Made up a set of headers from solder wire (1st go at this) also decided that I`m going to put a driver in this time , So I used the figure from the sprintcar kit and re-shape him to fit.
Intmd8r Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Nice build. I love the determination in the driver's eyes!
Space Cowboy Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Great looking...Nice frame work...............

James2 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Great scratch building, nice to get back at it also!
modelmarknz Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Well have been slowly working away on this model,But the other day I was inform by a driver/chassis builder that he thinks that my rear axle is too far back. So I have sent most of the weekend re-working the rear axle and mounting points... Ended up moving it about 3mm.. And even though I hate to admit it , he was right it does better now..
