Lownslow Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 really simple easy to build kit, but thats just not my style to leave a car stock first thing was wheels then i realized they both look good so im going to make the wheels removeable after i update them paint is tamiya flat black wheel is aclad magnesium both cleared with vallejo flat clear. seat didnt look "cool" enough
Lownslow Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 next was the engine found out the 1:1 is just as simple did my best and cleaning the seams still have to drill it out for wiring heres how it sits i opened the grill to run a more updated mesh grill, i CA'd the body together and sanded it the cowl needs some work but its ready for paint im gonna go with testors metalflake red and silver scallops.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Interesting. I like it. These old Indy roadsters have some great swoopy lines. I've been using the noses from these for some track-nose builds for quite a while, and was thinking of how to do a two-passenger version of this as a hot-rod. Looking good.
Lownslow Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) thanks guys theres a strong inclination that i might be sticking with the original wheels Edited November 20, 2012 by Lownslow

george 53 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Lo-Lo, you about a creative ol rascal aint'cha? Looks good, personally i think the chrome wheels and low pro tires would look killer with that color, but it's your model. It's gonna be really cool, regardless of what wheels it's runnin!

customsrus Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 looks good, let see it with the other wheels now that it is painted.
Lownslow Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 (edited) my worst nightmare testors on testors violence. it was some light crazing all over the body i managed to work some of it out but not before hitting a 9 since that episode ive decided to use Vallejo flat clear as a barrier for ALL my paintjobs, it worked great as a barrier primer for red bodies and it did great on another build before this. here it is post disaster, decided to use urethane the second time around Edited November 21, 2012 by Lownslow
shucky Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Frank thanks for the pic of the kit. I thought it was that one after seeing it on ebay. Love this so far. I also like the lo-pro wheels but it looks great no matter what you decide. Nice save on the paint too!
