Pullin Gears Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Just a curb side... or track side I guess! Started with a snap together Mustang GT. Scratch built the cowl hood, turbo inlets in the grill were built out of aluminum tube. I also scratch built the rear wing out of sheet plastic. Wheels and tires came from the parts box. I built a chute mount and added the various pull cables, battery shut off, etc. Decals are a mix of Slixx. The battery push off was made out of a pin.
Mister Twister Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Great looking build and the burnt rubber debris is always a nice touch.
Dyno Davo Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Realistic build of a modern day drag car, awesome and its a Ford, BONUS
W-409 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 This looks very good to me nice job with the Cowl hood, and paint job looks really smooth and shiny too. Chute details are very nice, excellent build.
TedsModeling Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Great job, Kevin. What did you use for the writing on the windshield?
3men2s Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I SAW A CAR, JUST LIKE THIS AT AN EVENT IN PALM BEACH INT. RACEWAY IN FLORIDA. LET ME SEE IF I GOT THE PICTURES TO SHOW YOU. GREAT BUILT.....GO FORDS
Pullin Gears Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Thanks Everbody! Ted, I did the writing by hand with flat white paint, a detail brush, and a steady hand! Danny, sounds great! There are a few 1:1 cars floating around that look like my model. I built it after going to a real oultaw 10.5/x275/Ultra street race. Tons of awesome race cars!
