Bennyg Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Hi fellas, here are some pics of what I've been working on. It's from Auslowe in Australia. It's coming together well so far. Enjoy Ben
CDA Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 This being an Australian truck, are you guys' frames double frames, with bigger radiators, and heavier axles!?
Bennyg Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 This being an Australian truck, are you guys' frames double frames, with bigger radiators, and heavier axles!? They used to be double framed but I've been shown that the frames are now deeper, and thicker. Typical road train spec would run a 600hp engine, 18 speed box, Rockwell 6 rod, also heavier front axle. Cheers BenAlso this is based on a lonestar kit.
Tony Bryan Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Nice one Ben, looks great so far, What colours are you planning? A little tip for you, check the exhaust out before committing to paint, the roof fowls a little with the exhaust pipe, and you may need to mod it a little
Bennyg Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 It looks great. What engine is it? Supposed to be a cummins signature 600, but it's only a basic representation. Auslowe includes a cummins tapper cover in the transkit. Looks good enough to me. Auslowe also does a complete cummins signature 600. Cheers Ben
Bennyg Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 Nice one Ben, looks great so far, What colours are you planning? A little tip for you, check the exhaust out before committing to paint, the roof fowls a little with the exhaust pipe, and you may need to mod it a little I plan to paint it red chassis, red and white cab with red and white pinstripe. Cheers for the tip for the exhaust. Ben
kilrathy10 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Looks really good, Ben...Love those Aussie road trains...
Bennyg Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 only needs that big kangoroo style bumper! It will have a bullbar. Cheers Ben
griffin Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 wow, nice truck. I will follow this topic. I am building an k108 this moment, gr chris
Old Albion Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Looks like your off to a good start. Something different as well. We don't see many Australian spec vehicles on the forum.
Bennyg Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Hmmmm, that cab looks good for a W900L... I don't think the cab will fit the w900 bonnet from p&p resin. There is a difference in width between the amt t600 cab and this cab. Cheers Ben
kilrathy10 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Still lookin' good...Nice paintwork...I think I'm gonna like this one....
Custom Hearse Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 That is cool Ben. I like the looks of the paint you've added. This is a build I'll keep my eyes on!
